Wandering Without Wisdom |
The threshold we enter just before change is discomfiting… for we are in unmarked territory on the way to somewhere else. Here the old knowns are wearing thin and the new possibilities are yet vague hopes.
It is hard for us brain heavy humans, to live in ignorance on the way to our wisdom… and then to relish our times of deep certainty, only to lose it again.
When my patients wander in the pre-known, fretful and disenchanted, it is so much easier to enter into a spirit of respectful regard for them, then it ever is for myself. The experience of offering this simple grace for many years, has nourished my own patience for my foolish self.
